    Becky Bailey

    CO-FOUNDER/CEO

    Becky is a lifelong resident of Starke County, Indiana, where faith, family, and service have shaped her life and work. She and her husband Matt are the proud parents of three grown children and the delighted grandparents—“Oma and Opa”—to Mr. Motley and Meadow, roles she considers among her greatest joys. Becky is the Founder and CEO of Bella Vita Pregnancy Center and Bella Haven Maternity Home in Knox, Indiana—two ministries born out of a deep calling to support women, protect life, and walk alongside families during some of their most vulnerable moments. This work is not just her profession; it is her mission.

    Natalie Shields

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Natalie believes being pro-life means putting action where it matters most.

    Natalie has over 8 years in non-profit work and previously served with Right to Life Michiana in South Bend, where she helped launch the vision for a mobile care unit to reach women in crisis pregnancies with compassionate, empowering support—meeting them where they are and helping them choose life.

    Natalie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling from Grace College and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, bringing both relational insight and strategic leadership to her work.

    Michelle Schoenefeld

    CO-FOUNDER/BOARD MEMBER

    Michelle strongly believes that we are stronger together in unity and collaboration. She has passionately served in the pro-life ministry at A Hope Center, sharing the love of Christ to countless young women in their moment of unique need for nearly 20 years, and has been in the role of Executive Director since 2022. Michelle earned her master of science degree in nonprofit management from Grace College, has a background in nursing and human services, as well as investing in small business and property management.

    Michelle has served in many ministries including Bible Study Fellowship Discussion Leader, Church Council Member, Outreach Director, Mentoring with Life 2 Life Ministries, and serving as a trained Stephen’s Minister. 

     Michelle and her husband, Ryan, have 3 adult children, and a soon to be daughter-in-love!

    Brandie Yoder

    BOARD MEMBER

    Brandie earned her Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She began as a Cardiac ICU nurse in Phoenix before returning home to Memorial Hospital to work in trauma ICU. She later joined Goshen Health, first in Hospice Care, then in Care Coordination, eventually serving as Director of Care Coordination, Home Care & Hospice, and Diabetes Education. From there, she became Senior Director of Programs at CAPS before stepping into her current role as CEO of RETA.

    Brandie and her husband, Jon, have four children—Kaden, Elijah, Hadley, and Taylor—and continue to foster, opening their home to children in need. With her family active in sports and 4-H, life stays busy. As RETA’s CEO, Brandie is grateful to align her passion and values, leading with both humility and ambition.

    Maria French

    BOARD MEMBER

    Maria is a lifetime East Central Indiana resident and a graduate of Ball State University, where she studied English and Journalism. She has spent much of her career in education, and also served as a communications’ director and a business manager.

    Maria and her husband, Charlie, are the proud parents of two grown sons and a daughter-in-law. Maria loves serving in church, spending time with family, working in her garden, listening to music, and visiting national parks. 

    In July of 2025, she joined First Choice for Women as their Executive Director. With over 30 years of service to the community, First Choice for Women exists to empower women and families through free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, material assistance, and relational support. Maria feels blessed to be part of the First Choice team as they bring help and hope to those facing pregnancy and parenting challenges.

    Christa Brown

    BOARD MEMBER

    Christa Brown BSN, RN, LAS serves as the Senior Director of Medical Impact for Heartbeat International and Executive Director for APRN LLC, offering support and training to medical clinic affiliates throughout the world and overseeing the Abortion Pill Rescue Network (APRN).

    With over thirty years of dedication to the pregnancy help movement, Christa has served as Nursing Director, Executive Director of three centers in Indiana and Michigan, Marketing Director, Director of Internet Communications, and Director of Resource Development.

    Christa has empowered thousands of families to navigate challenging circumstances and choose life for their children. Christa's advocacy for women and families worldwide has made a profound impact on women's health and the sanctity of life. Christa and her husband Jody reside in northwest Indiana and have been abundantly blessed with five children and ten grandchildren.

    Rebecca Moeller

    BOARD MEMBER

    Rebecca Moeller is the Executive Director of First Choice Solutions. She began serving on the Board of Directors in 2012, transitioned to staff in 2020, and was appointed Executive Director in 2022. Her leadership reflects a long-standing commitment to life-affirming ministry and compassionate care for families.

    Rebecca is passionate about collaboration among pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes across Indiana. Her faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of her life and leadership, shaping the Christ-centered mission of First Choice Solutions. She has been married to her husband, Rodney, since 1988, and together they have raised seven children. They are joyfully anticipating their eighth grandchild in the summer of 2026.
